You can now eat a cake shaped like an Orla Kiely bag thanks to The Merrion's new afternoon tea
PRÊT-À-PORTEA IS A fashion-themed afternoon tea that takes place in The Berkeley in Knightsbridge.
The tea consists of “couture cakes” inspired by fashion designers like Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Dolce and Gabbana.
Cakes shaped like shoes, handbags and dresses. In other words, Carrie Bradshaw would wet herself if she went.
The tea is coming to Dublin’s Merrion Hotel for a one-week residency. To celebrate, the chefs behind the tea have created two cakes inspired by Irish designers Louise Kennedy and Orla Kiely.
You know what that means: edible Orla Kiely bags are a thing that exist now.
A true culinary feat.
